November 2021 release: O Christmas Background Music
More of a Good Thing
I really enjoy mood-creating Christmas music that doesn't demand attention from the listener but at the same time is interesting and just a little bit different. For me, this has been hard to find so I continue to create my own.
"O Christmas" is a follow-on to last year's well-received Christmas Background Music EP. It mines the fertile ground of Christmas songs that start with "O" with a touch more acoustic instrumentation, while continuing to sit comfortably in the background while we enjoy the season.

March 2021 release: Relaxative Hypnotic Chill
Personal Stress Relief
As the challenging year 2020 drew to a close, the world seemed like it was teetering at the edge of an abyss. No matter what your political persuasion, it was a trying time given the social unrest, widespread pandemic, and hyper-partisan name calling from both ends of the spectrum. The beginning of 2021 is only barely less tumultuous, but there is the beginning of cautious optimism that better days are ahead.
This album was written during the most trying periods of 2020/2021 as a way to mitigate my own stressors. It is deeply personal yet hopefully universal in its ability to sooth. May we all have a better 2021.

June 2020 release: Better Days
Better Days
Relationships. Usually easy to start. Sometimes difficult to stay. Always painful to leave.
Better Days is a collection of songs that explore the challenges of long-term relationships, told by someone who has been around long enough to experience the full spectrum of ups, downs, and sideways.
All of the songs were written, arranged, performed, and produced by Jim Chabucos except for Rachael Teixeira's vocals. Rachael was a late addition to the project and an unexpectedly awesome find.
